Aishwarya Rai. It is rumored that she had cheek implants and got her jawline and teeth repaired. Some even say she had a nose surgery.

This is an excerpt from an interview Aishwarya Rai gave to Filmfare about her having undergone cosmetic surgery.

Question: Okay, finally tell me, have you ever undergone cosmetic surgery to enhance your looks?

Answer: Never. I know there have been rumours that I’ve had my teeth and jawline corrected. But they’re only rumours. Others have opted for these things, I haven’t. I’d rather not start any controversy. Implants, liposuctions and plastic surgery are a matter of personal choice. I can’t comment on what others do. As for me, I’ve only got my enamel bleached. It’s as simple as getting your teeth cleaned by a dentist.

See, I’ve never had a pearly white set of teeth. I suffered from a calcium deficiency, which made my teeth look a little stained. So I needed to get them cleaned. I felt my teeth were too big and wanted them corrected. I told the dentist that my face was lopsided and that I had a strange smile. He assured me that my teeth were just fine. According to him, my large teeth broke the symmetry of my mouth and gave my face an interesting dimension. So if my doctor is happy, who am I to complain?”

Aishwarya Rai: Has The Surgeon’s Scalpel Stalled Time?

Aishwarya Rai is one of the most beautiful women in the world, and with such a title comes the inevitable claims that she is using plastic surgery to either enhance her looks, or to keep time from touching her.

The winner of Miss World in 1994, Rai is a very successful Indian model and an equally well known Bollywood actress.

But despite a career filled with success, people are still wondering if she’s aging gracefully, or if she has had the help of a very talented plastic surgeon to remain so breathtaking over the years.

Has She Had Plastic Surgery?

That is the million dollar question, and it is one that Rai herself answered in an interview.

According to Makeup and Beauty, Rai has said that she’s never had cosmetic surgery in order to enhance or alter her looks:

“I know there have been rumors that I’ve had my teeth and jawline corrected. But they’re only rumors. Others have opted for these things, I haven’t. I’d rather not start any controversy,” were some of the statements that she made in an interview with Filmfare regarding the rumors of her plastic surgery.

Of course a denial won’t make the press leave the rumors alone, as Halle Berry’s plastic surgery rumors prove.

And the list of awful celebrity plastic surgery rumors that swirl around Rai seem to grow and change with each telling.

She’s supposed to have had jaw implants, dental surgery, a rhinoplasty (nose job), cheek fillers and Botox just to name a few.

No one’s yet suggested a face-lift, given Rai’s relative youth, but those rumors may still show up fashionably late to the speculation party.

The Bollywood star has sported a variety of different looks to be sure, and she’s even worn some strange and varied costumes, but despite all of that there’s very little evidence that her natural good looks have been changed or altered permanently.

Of course there is plenty of evidence that talented cosmetic artists are at work, and if you have someone talented with makeup you can alter everything from the line of your jaw to the shape of your cheeks and nose.

So what does all of that really mean?

Well, it means one of two things; either Aishwarya Rai is being completely honest and that she hasn’t gotten any cosmetic surgery done, or she has gotten small procedures done by a very talented surgeon.

Now, no one can say for certain but there is no evidence on the side of cosmetic surgery on the sly aside from tabloid rumors.

No doctors have come forward, and there aren’t any suspicious scars on Rai’s body that were captured by the papparazzi.

Far from results gained by Dolly Parton, it seems that Aishwarya Rai’s cosmetic surgery rumors are just that, and changes come from time passing.
